Sugar Snap Kids Treat: Banana 'Nice cream

Here at Sugar Snap Shift most of our clients are moms and dads (and even some grandparents!). Many of them ask us for ways they can get their family to eat more cleanly without feeling deprived or like they're "missing out" on their favorite treats.  With that in mind, we will be sharing more of our "Sugar Snap Kids" approved recipes that we make for our own families! All of these will be kid-friendly recipes that use whole foods, and are free of refined sugar, dairy and gluten. Clean eating for the whole family that is still enjoyable and delicious!

This easy recipe is a great way to use up all those overripe bananas, and get your kids to eat a dose of fruit without added refined sugar. This treat is completely clean, dairy free, and best of all, whips up in about 5 minutes.

If you have a bunch of bananas that are about to be past their prime, peel them and stick them in a bag in your freezer. They freeze beautifully for smoothies, baking and for this easy treat!  The fun part about 'nice cream is you can easily play around with whatever fruit you have on hand or use cocoa powder for a chocolatey treat.
